Are scholarships available?

Yes! The Kansas Birth Justice Society is proud to offer 10 full scholarships for basic doula training to individuals from underrepresented communities in the Wichita area. Our mission is to empower and uplift those who have been historically marginalized, ensuring that everyone has access to compassionate and culturally competent care during the birthing process.

These scholarships are specifically designed to support aspiring doulas from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities, those from lower-income backgrounds, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. By providing financial assistance, we aim to break down barriers and create a more inclusive and diverse network of doulas who are equipped to serve all families with dignity and respect.

What makes this training different than other doula trainings?

Certified Catalyst doulas will feel prepared to launch into community-based or independent doula work as soon as they finish the training program. Our unique curriculum equips you with everything you need to know! What are you waiting for?

How much does the training cost?

No Cost. All who apply will be considered for scholarship. There are a limit of 10 spots available for this class.

What are the scholarship requirements?

Scholarships are full tuition for the basic doula training program. *Please note that students will be responsible for the cost of materials for the course.*
